Kalanityam was founded by Smt. Selvi Pragasam, an avid proponent of Bharathanatyam. Smt. Selvi Pragasam and Smt. Lavanya Gopal teach Bharathanatyam with extensive theory.

Kalanityam In The News

Kalanityam wins several awards in the Fiestalonia International Dance Competition held in Lloret Del Mar Spain. All students of who participated won in multiple categories. The crown jewel - First Place and Best in Choreography was awarded to Kalanityam team. The theme "Oh My Beautiful Planet" was greatly appreciated by the internation jury of Judges.

Recent Arangetram:
Kalanityam presented Aditi Kaushik in the characters of Mahabharatham on August 13th, 2023. Aditi is a senior student of Kalanityam and has been training under Guru Smt. Selvi Pragasam for over 10 years. She played many roles of the great Epic Mahabharatham. The dances were choreographed by Guru Selvi Pragasam accompanied by a very talented orchestra.
